'King the Land' Proves Expanding Popularity as It Records 17 Million Viewing Hours on Netflix

Based on a news report cited by a media outlet on June 28, the ongoing K-drama "King the Land" already accumulated 17.5 million viewing hours since its debut last June 17.

In addition, according to Netflix, the series ranked second as the most-watched non-English drama to enter the Global Top 10 list.

YoonA and Lee Junho's drama also entered the Top 10 list in 36 countries, including South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, and Greece.

These are the newest records that the series achieved following its release. The sixteen-episode weekend drama is attracting attention after topping different charts and marking new records with only four episodes aired.

'King the Land' Achievements

Its viewership ratings also continue to skyrocket in each episode.

"King the Land" started with a promising rating of 5.1 percent. On its second episode, it increased to 7.5 percent, and soared high to 9.1 percent for the third episode, generating positive word-of-mouth.

"King the Land" episode 4 scored a 9.6 percent rating, the drama is already on the verge of hitting a double-digit rating of 10 percent. The progress is expected to keep up in the upcoming episodes.

The newest onscreen tandem dominated the TV K-Drama Popularity Rankings.

In a separate report on June 20, the official platform service of Good Data Corporation (institution that specializes in analyzing K-content competitiveness), Fundex, revealed that Lee Junho topped the list and gained a popularity score of 5,481 points.

Following him on the rank was his drama partner, YoonA.

Lee Junho and YoonA are also consistent in being on the trending list on different social media platforms.
