YoonA, Jun Hyun Moo Return as Blue Dragon Series Awards 2023 Hosts

Following the announcement of the Blue Dragon Series Awards 2023 nominees, the hosts for the highly anticipated ceremony have been revealed.

In a report, Sports Chosun, the organization behind the famous annual Blue Dragon Film Awards, also launched the first award-giving body in South Korea that honors top-notch dramas, variety shows, and movies produced by streaming platforms.

Interestingly, the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards will be hosted by the returning MCs.

As the ceremony gears up for the much-awaited night, Girls' Generation's YoonA and Jun Hyun Moo were selected as this year's hosts.

Entertaining the audience with their wit, charm, and chemistry, this will be the second time that the duo will host the annual ceremony. 

As mentioned by a media outlet, the singer-actress expressed her excitement to return on stage and greet the nominees and audience with "bright and good energy."

"Following the 1st Blue Dragon Series Awards, I am happy to once again participate in the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards together," she said. 

The same goes for Jun Hyun Moo, who expressed the same stance and said that he could "still vividly recall the nervousness from the 1st Blue Dragon Series Awards."

Moreover, as he continues to host the ceremony for the second time, he feels "very happy to work together as the MC once again at such an honorable event."

Scheduled for July 19 at 8:30 p.m. KST, the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards will be held at Paradise City in Incheon.

As mentioned, the upcoming ceremony will give recognition to deserving K-dramas, movies, and TV shows released through various platforms, including Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+, Kakao TV, and more.

Interestingly, the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards are divided into two categories. The first is drama, where it includes Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Drama Series, and more.

As for Variety or Educational it consists of Best Male and Female Entertainer, Best Variety Program, and more.
