On July 17, Yoon Ji On surprised his fans with the announcement of his long awaited return to the acting scene.

Hwang Minhyun and Kim So Hyun's brand new drama "My Lovely Liar" dropped a new set of stills that feature the seasoned star.

In the new tvN series, Yoon Ji On transforms into Jo Deuk Chan, a dependable brother figure to aspiring artists who has a knack of recognizing unique talents and skills.

"My Lovely Liar" follows the strange romantic tryst between a woman who has the ability to detect lies and a solitary man who hides a secret. Kim So Hyun plays Mok Sol Hee, a "liar hunter" who lost faith in people after gaining the ability to hear lies.

Meanwhile, Hwang Minhyun transforms into Kim Do Ha, a genius music producer who hides his face from the world.

The new teaser photos highlight Kim Do Ha's close relationship with Jo Deuk Chan, the man who led the other to become a passionate composer.

Jo Deuk Chan is a well-behaved man who discovers talents and undying passion. He's also the only person Kim Do Ha gets comfortable with, acting like an older brother to the latter.

Moreover, he's also someone who knows Kim Do Ha's secrets, and stood by his side no matter what, raising tension.

The 33-year-old actor stated that he kept in touch with his emotional side in curating Jo Deuk Chan's personality as he gives off a softer vibe of a brother rather than an ordinary CEO.

According to Yoon Ji On, Jo Deuk Chan is an older brother that anyone can playfully joke with rather than being scared of him as a boss. In his new project, the actor focused on his speech delivery and feelings to convey various emotions.

On the other hand, Yoon Ji On stated that his chemistry and two-shot scenes with Hwang Minhyun are the most exciting parts in the series that no one should miss.
