‘The Roundup’ Stars Dominate July Movie Star Brand Reputation Rankings
Korean viewers are still under "The Roundup" spell after lead stars dominated the July movie star brand reputation rankings.
In the report released by the Korean Business Research Institute, the monthly rankings were determined based on consumer participation, media coverage, and community awareness indexes of 50 movie celebrities from June 13 to July 13.
Interestingly, "The Roundup" cast remains the leading stars for this month's list.
July Movie Star Brand Reputation Rankings
For three consecutive months, Ma Dong Seok has been in the top three spots and was hailed as number 1 in the Movie Star Brand Reputation Rankings from June to July.
According to the outlet, the actor garnered a brand reputation index of 13,006,579 while his high-ranking phrases include his blockbuster "The Roundup: No Way Out," "10 million actor," referring to the number of moviegoers, and his character, "Ma Seok Do."
Meanwhile, second place belongs to his co-star Lee Joon Hyuk, who appeared as the villain in "The Roundup: No Way Out."

His brand reputation index scored 8,137,363, almost close to third placer Son Seok Ku with an index of 7,578,206.
In the third installment of the movie, also called "The Outlaws 3," Lee Joon Hyuk played the antagonist, Jo Sung Chul, the son of a powerful chaebol family.
As for Son Seok Koo, he took on the villainous role in 2022's "The Roundup," where he played as the character of the psychopathic kidnapper and killer Gang Hae Sang.
To recall, both Lee Joon Hyuk and Son Seok Ku are in the same spot for the June Movie Star Brand Reputation Rankings.
Besides "The Roundup" lead stars, Lee Byung Hun makes it to fourth place as the award-winning actor headlines the star-studded movie "Concerete Utopia."
He garnered a brand reputation index of 7,174,770, a huge increase from the previous month's rankings.
In the upcoming movie, he plays Young Tak, who acts as the leader of the survivors after a massive earthquake hits Seoul.
Interestingly, co-star Park Seo Joon also made it to 8th place.
Capping off the top 5 is Park Sung Woong, who stars in the mystery crime thriller movie "Live Stream."
