Did Na In Woo Lie About His Height? Actor Responds to Controversy

Na In Woo addresses an issue regarding his height during the press conference for his K-drama comeback, "Longing for You."

Besides discussing his experience filming the action thriller series, the South Korean heartthrob clarified suspicions regarding his height.

One of the noticeable features of Na In Woo is his visuals, particularly his height.

Towering at 187 cm, or 6'2 feet tall, he used to be a model before becoming an actor.

In fact, he graced various runway shows, including 2014 Seoul Fashion Week.

With this, it's no surprise how the 28-year-old star instantly caught the public's attention, and eventually rose to the popularity he's experiencing now.

Na In Woo Denies Cheating About his Height

However, he gets caught up in the accusation that he is downplaying his height.

During the press conference, Na In Woo took the opportunity to clarify things and denied that he cheated about his height.

"I recently measured my height. Exactly 188.6 cm," he said. Assuring the public that he never cheated," Na In Woo explained his side.

"At that time, I was 187 cm. It's because when you're tall, you walk around stooping," he said, adding the figures might change because of his treatment.

"He stretched again as he went through treatment," the actor explained, as reported by a media outlet.

Based on his previous interview, it seemed like Na In Woo was comfortable talking about his height. 

Back in 2021, during his interview with W Korea, he mentioned the downsides of being extremely tall as compared to those with average height. 

He said that he bumped his head often and had bad joints. Moreover, Na In Woo also confessed that his long limbs make him feel "awkward."

Na In Woo rose to fame after joining the cast of "River Where The Moon Rises" as one of the lead stars after replacing Ji Soo.

Additionally, he also won the Best Rookie Award and the Best Couple Award along with co-star Kim So Hyun for the same K-drama.

After this, Na In Woo continued to headline various K-dramas such as "Her Bucket List," "Jinxed at First," "The Golden Spoon," and his current series "Longing for You."

Na In Woo's New Drama 'Longing for You'

Transforming into a charismatic detective, Oh Jin Sung revealed at the press conference that his character in "Longing for You" was one of the most challenging roles he played. 

He said that it was his first time appearing in a thriller mystery series, so the feeling was "a bit unfamiliar."

"I was surprised because the tempo was faster than the previous plays," Na In Woo added; however, he feels thankful for his seniors and directors Han Cheol Soo and Kim Yong Min for helping him a lot to immerse himself in his role.

"Longing for You" premieres on July 26, with the 14 part episode K-drama airing every Wednesday and Thursday via ENA, TVING, and Viki.
