Go Hyun Jung Elicits Mixed Reactions With 'Mask Girl' Transformation

On July 25, Netflix's "Mask Girl" dropped its first ever teasers of female lead stars Go Hyun Jung and Nana.

In the upcoming series, the two actresses will both take on the role of Kim Mo Mi, a regular office worker who becomes an alluring broadcast jockey (BJ) online while covering her face with a mask.

Go Hyun Jung plays Kim Mo Mi who has an appearance complex while Nana gives life to the renewed BJ with irresistible charms and dancing skills. After an unexpected incident, things take a dark turn for Kim Mo Mi.

In the released photos of Go Hyun Jung, she embodies Kim Mo Mi's lost glory as she continues her life in prison. She surprised the public with her short hairstyle that the actress has never done before.

In her previous works, Go Hyun Jung played ultra-feminine and sophisticated acting roles. Period drama "Queen Seondeok" remains her most note-worthy work.

Although shocked, fans lauded the actress for her fearless sacrifice in chopping all of her hair. One fan commented, "Go Hyun Jung is bringing something new to the table. I'm excited."

Meanwhile, some remain critical with the dramatic change in the actress' appearance. The production unit of "Mask Girl" guarantees a worthwhile production this summer of 2023.
