Kang Tae Oh Debuts as Detective in Thriller Movie 'Target'
Kang Tae Oh is about to hit the big screen with the thriller film "Target." On July 27, Plus M Entertainment gave excitement to many as they dropped new stills of the actor's character.
"Target" is a suspenseful-thriller featuring the life of Soo Hyun, who becomes a target of an online secondhand shopping scam. Kang Tae Oh makes a special participation as he plays the role of a diligent rookie detective
He is Detective Na, a member of the Cyber Investigation Unit. Even though he is constantly dealing with a pile of cybercrime cases, he is a hard-working newbie who takes each case with determination.

One day, he meets Soo Hyun (Shin Hye Sun) who reported an online trading scam, to which he responds kindly and cooperates with his senior, Detective Joo (Kim Sung Kyun) to track down the culprits.
Here's How Kang Tae Oh Prepares in Portraying His Role as Detective
In a short interview, the actor expressed that he has been wanting to do a thriller genre and play a detective role. That's why, when the opportunity knocked on his door, he put his best effort into playing the character well.
"I prepared for the role by asking advice from real detectives, asking about what it's like being a police officer in their everyday life and what rookie detectives are like in reality."
The director of the film, Park Hee Gon also gave comments about Kang Tae Oh and his character, "Detective Na is kind and sincere, he is a determined newbie detective, and Kang Tae Oh gave justice to him. He did a great job immersing in the character."
"Target" is scheduled to premiere starting August 30 in Korea.
This will be Kang Tae Oh's next project following his successful drama "Extraordinary Attorney Woo."
The actor is currently fulfilling his military duty and is set to discharge in 2024. Even though he is away from the entertainment spotlight, Kang Tae Oh will gift his fans another project.
