Go Hyun Jung's Tragic Marriage Life

Before she entered the world of acting, Go Hyun Jung was first recognized as a runner-up in the 1989 Miss Korea pageant.

This opened a lot of doors for her even in the romantic aspect. During the height of her career as an actress, she chose to retire to follow her heart and tied the knot.

Go Hyun Jung shocked the industry with her early retirement when married Chung Young Jin, the heir of Shinsegae Group and the grandson of the Samsung empire.

She sacrificed her youth and became the daughter-in-law of the most powerful empire in South Korea. To some, it could be a dream come true.

Unfortunately, this became the actress' silent battle. After eight years of marriage, Go Hyun Jung and her husband divorced.

She was paid a price of 1.5 billion KRW and was banned from seeing her two children. It is revealed that Go Hyun Jung was treated poorly in the Chung household.

As she couldn't speak English, the family would talk about her in the foreign language. When she studied the language, her husband's family switched to speaking French.

In an interview, Go Hyun Jung stated that she has no interest in putting another ring on her finger even when her ex-husband has been long married to his new spouse.
