‘Destined With You’ Records Low Ratings Despite Having Big Cast

"Destined With You" finally debuted on the weekday primetime. However, despite starring big stars namely Rowoon, Jo Bo Ah, and more, the drama suffers from achieving high ratings.

Rowoon & Jo Bo Ah's 'Destined With You' Declines in Viewership Ratings

On August 23, JTBC's much-awaited fantasy-romance drama "Destined With You" hit the small screen. 

Giving viewers a thrilling experience about the story of a lawyer who is under a curse, and a civil servant who holds the key to his freedom in the form of a banned book that was sealed 300 years ago.  

The series kicked off with good ratings on its pilot week. Episode 1 recorded a score of 2.9 percent viewership rating nationwide. However, the ongoing drama saw a slight drop in ratings in episode 2, which earned an average rating of 2.4 percent.

Now on its second week on primetime, "Destined With You" continues to decline in viewership rating. According to Nielsen Korea, the drama's third episode recorded 2.0 percent on paid broadcasting households nationwide. 

Despite having big cast members namely Jo Bo Ah, Rowoon, Ha Joon, Yura, and more brilliant actors, unfortunately, the new program failed to earn high ratings.

However, since the ongoing K-drama is fresh and still starting to be known by the viewers, the tables might turn as the narrative progresses the same as the enticing development of the characters' relationships with each other. 

'Destined With You' Episode 4 Spoiler!

To recall, in "Destined With You" episode 3, Jang Shin Yu finally used the spell to cure his curse, with the help of Lee Hong Jo. Though his condition is still changing, the male protagonist also experiences a sudden shift in his feelings. 

Lee Hong Jo cast the love spell and made a love potion for her crush Kwon Jae Kyung. With her eagerness to make him fall in love with her, a twist of fate happened. It was revealed that the potion she prepared was drunk by Jang Shin Yu, in short, the love spell unexpectedly works on him, making the lawyer develop feelings for her. 

In the upcoming episode 4, viewers are anticipating the changes that Shin Yun will experience towards Lee Hong Jo. He tries to ignore his actions, but the spell is too strong and can't control everything that's happening.
