'The Uncanny Counter 2' Successfully Ends With Flying Colors

After six long weeks, Jo Byung Gyu's "The Uncanny Counter 2" finally bid goodbye to its beloved fans around the world.

The tvN series dropped its final episode on September 3 and scored a high score of 6.1%, marking the season's highest rating.

It doubled the score from its previous episode, proving the drama's popularity and success. Since its first season, the superhero drama has received great support from its loyal fans.

In addition to that, Jo Byung Gyu, Kim Sejeong, Yeom Hye Ran and the rest of the cast who starred in both Seasons 1 and 2 enjoyed high praises from viewers and critics around the world.

'The Uncanny Counter 2' Ending Divides Public Opinion

The second season of the superhero series "The Uncanny Counter" finally closed its curtains on a happy note.

While it received great reviews and an impressive score, the series still polarized the public's opinions with its ending.

In episode 12, the Counters finally took down the evil forces that threatened humankind. They also received their much-deserved happy ending.

However, Jo Byung Gyu and Kim Sejeong's So Mun and Do Ha Na remained friends at the end, content with their own endings with the former in Germany and the other in South Korea.

Due to the lack of romance in the drama that spanned for two seasons, many fans expressed their disappointment about the ending. One fan commented jokingly, "We hate whoever decided to end the series with no MunHana."

The others on the other hand were more forgiving, saying that So Mun and Do Ha Na were better off as friends and fellow Counters.

Although the series received great flak for its ending, it's no doubt that "The Uncanny Counter 2" is one of the best sequels that were ever released this 2023.
