Nana is selected to join the upcoming movie "Omniscient Reader." After her successful performances in K-dramas "Glitch" and her most recent, "Mak Girl," the idol-actress might be making a big screen return.

In an exclusive report cited by JTBC Entertainment News, the former After School member was offered to play the lead role.

According to the outlet, Nana's agency, PLEDIS Entertainment, said that she "received the offer to appear and is considering it positively."

As for the role, the label shared that the actress was selected to portray the role of Jeong Hee Won in "Omniscient Reader." Her character is someone who has a self-directed personality and can't stand injustice.

On the other hand, if Nana officially confirms the offer, she will join Lee Min Ho and Ahn Hyo Seop as lead stars.

What We Know About the Movie 'Omniscient Reader'

Based on the popular web novel of the same name, "Omniscient Reader" depicts the story of a man named Kim Dok Ja, who is an average office worker but has a huge interest in reading web novels, particularly his favorite "Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse."

However, he caught himself in an interesting yet bizarre situation after he found out that the novel suddenly became reality. In short, he will get to see how the world will end.

Interestingly, he sees an opportunity to prevent it from happening. After reading the novel multiple times, he used his understanding to change the course of the story and to survive.

On his journey, he met a mysterious man named Yoo Jung Hyuk, the fallen hero and the main character in the novel, played by Lee Min Ho.

Besides Lee Min Ho, Ahn Hyo Seop, and Nana, the "Omniscient Reader" cast includes Chae Soo Bin from "The Fabulous," who will act as Yoo Sang Ah, and "Alchemy of Souls" star Shin Seung Ho as Lee Hyun Sung.

Apart from the interesting cast lineup, the upcoming film is reported to have over 20 billion won, or approximately $15 million budget. It will be helmed by director Kim Byun Woo of "The Terror Live" and produced by Realies Pictures of "Along with the Gods."

As of this writing, there's no update yet regarding the target release date, but this will be among the highly anticipated movies in the future.

Nana Praised for Her 'Mask Girl' Role

The idol actress once again proved her versatility in K-drama. After playing Heo Bo Ra in "Glitch" with Jeon Yeo Been, Nana played as lead in Netflix's "Mask Girl."

Viewers are raving about her character, Kim Mo Mi, who works as an office worker turned online streamer and finds herself involved in crimes.

Along with her are two other actresses, Lee Han Byeol and Go Hyun Jung, playing the same character and taking on the part as the storyline of Kim Mo Mi evolves.
