Ok Taecyeon Talks About Career 

As part of his Asia solo tour, 2PM's Taecyeon met his fans in Hong Kong on September 29. Before the main event, the actor attended a media presscon where he had a talk with the media and his fans.

The Korean actor joyfully shared his career journey as an idol and as an actor. Despite having different technicalities, the Hallyu star had a wonderful experience being on stage and screen.

As he spontaneously shared stories about his profession, Ok Taecyeon made a shocking revelation about his past drama role.

In particular, the second-generation idol reminisced one of his best works yet through the 2021 hit series "Vincenzo."

2PM's Taecyeon Unexpectedly Fulfills His Dream Role Through 'Vincenzo'

Ok Taecyeon impressed many with his transformation as he played the role of psychopath and serial killer Jang Jun Woo/Jang Han Seok. At the beginning of the drama, he played the adorable intern at Wusang firm and later on was revealed as the true villain in the story.

The viewers did not expect that Taecyeon would be an antagonist, even he, who played the character. During the interview, the actor revealed that he did not know his "Vincenzo" role was evil.

"Actually, I didn't know the role was an evil character. The scripts that I received were only episodes 1 and 2, and back then, I was the kind intern Jang Jun Woo. I myself was also surprised to know that I am a villain."

Even though he didn't have any idea of his role, Ok Taecyeon unexpectedly fulfilled his dream role of becoming a villain.

To recall, the "Heartbeat" star mentioned to Eric Nam's show that he had always wanted to try a villain role but was banned by JYP Entertainment in order to preserve his good image as an artist.

Despite the delay, Taecyeon surprisingly made his dream come true, through "Vincenzo."

What Role Taecyeon Wants to Play Next?

Following the successful portrayal of the antagonist role, Taecyeon shared in his media presscon in Manila that in his next role, he wanted to emphasize more his physique. He aims to immerse himself in the characters of a boxer, swimmer, or fighter.
