Choi Woo Shik New Drama: Actor Stars as Anti-Hero in 'Murder DIEry'

From romance in "Our Beloved Summer," the 33-year-old actor shows off how versatile he is in acting as he takes on an interesting role in "Murder DIEary."

Joining the slew of new K-dramas airing in 2024, the upcoming Netflix K-drama is a thriller series based on the hit thriller webtoon of the same name created by NOMABI.

Choi Woo Shik transforms into the character of Lee Tang, a college student who accidentally becomes a killer.

Studying during the day and working as a part-timer at a convenience store, he gets into an argument with a customer and accidentally kills him.

Dealing with major guilt and fear, he then learned that the person he killed was a notorious serial killer. Here, he realized that he could identify bad people and soon became a dark hero whose mission was to pin down individuals who had committed crimes in the past.

Although he has an innate urge to eliminate evildoers, he is being chased by detective Gang Nan Gam, played by Son Seok Koo. He is responsible for investigating the killings using his "animal-like instincts" to find the culprit.

On the other hand, former detective Song Chon, played by Lee Hee Joon, conducts a separate investigation into the mysterious murder.

The upcoming Netflix series is directed by Lee Chang Hee, the genius behind the hit 2019 thriller series "Strangers From Hell" and "The Vanished."

Other than the upcoming K-drama, Choi Woo Shik also appears in various TV shows, including "Jinny's Kitchen," where he is one of the regular members along with Lee Seo Jin, Jung Yu Mi, and fellow Wooga squad members Park Seo Joon and BTS' V.

In addition, he was also part of the show by PD Na Young Seok called "God of Business Trip Communication: Seo Jin's Edition."
