K-heartthrob Woo Do Hwan is in full swing as another project is being offered to him. The actor is courted to headline "Tropical Night," which is rumored to be filmed in Thailand.

Woo Do Hwan Considering of Leading Noir Movie 'Tropical Night'

While out of the spotlight for a moment, Woo Do Hwan is occupying the news headlines as he is about to dominate the screen again with new works. 

In a news cited by a media outlet on October 23, Woo Do Hwan is in talks to lead the movie "Topical Night." In response, the actor's side stated that the leading man is positively considering accepting the offer.

"Tropical Night" is a noir film to be helmed by Kim Pan Soo in partnership with the new production company Hive MediaCorp, which produced "Insiders," "Drug King," "Heavenly Burying," "The Heads of Namsan," and "But Save Me From Evil."

Jang Dong Gun To Possibly Join Woo Do Hwan in 'Tropical Night'

In addition, veteran actor Jang Dong Gun is also reported to join the lead cast of the upcoming movie. Furthermore, it has been said that the project is expected to be filmed in Thailand, leaving fans and viewers curious about what's in store for the work. 

Once Woo Do Hwan confirms his participation, it will mark his silver screen comeback following "The Divine Move 2: The Wrathful" in 2019.

What's Next for Woo Do Hwan

After debuting in 2011, Woo Do Hwan started to make his face known in earnest through the film "Master" in 2016. It was then, that he established himself as a leading actor through the series "Save Me" in 2017, "Mad Dog," "Tempted," and "The King: Eternal Monarch."

After he finished his military service, the actor immediately made his acting return through Netflix "Bloodhounds" and in MBC's "Joseon Attorney: A Morality," in which he drew favorable reviews.

As of this writing, Woo Do Hwan is currently filming his upcoming Netflix series "Mr. Plankton," drawing attention to his back-to-back projects. He will share the frame with rising actress Lee Yoo Mi, who is now garnering attention with her new drama "Strong Girl Gang Namsoon."

Veteran stars Oh Jung Se and Kim Hae Sook will also join them. The drama is tentatively for release in the first half of 2024.
