'Arthdal Chronicles 2' Ends With A Slight Rise In Ratings

On October 22, tvN's period piece "Arthdal Chronicles 2" finally closed its curtains.

Starring Lee Joon Gi, Shin Se Kyung and more, the drama delivered a thrilling experience, depicting the stories of Arthdal natives who protect their lands from power-hungry rulers.

The finale received great reception among fans around the world, and also recorded a total score of 4.6% which is a leap from the stagnant ratings in the previous weeks.

Although it didn't surpass its personal best of 5%, "Arthdal Chronicles 2" still managed to receive a high score from the beginning until its conclusion.

The second season of the franchise was still a success as it captured the fans' hearts with its great premise and amazing storytelling.

'Arthdal Chronicles 2' Cast Expresses Gratitude To Viewers

The tvN historical drama has come to an end and its cast can't contain their happiness, gratitude and affection for the fans.

Lee Joon Gi, who played the roles of Eunseom and Saya, bid his goodbye to the beautiful universe of Arthdal. He said, "Working with the director and the rest of the crew was an honor. My fellow actors, thank you and I love you."

Shin Se Kyung, who gave life to Tanya, recalled the many times she laughed and cried because of the work, saying that "Arthdal Chronicles 2" is a memory she will never forget for a long time.

Meanwhile, Jang Dong Gun, who reprised his role as Tagon this season, revealed his affection for his character, describing him as a "tough and cool" character.

Kim Ok Vin, who also reprised her role as Tae Alha, remembered the filming days where the cast braved the cold and humid days while working.

"We worked so hard and immersed ourselves in the story. It was exhausting," the actress said. "But every time I come on set, I'd gain new strength through my co-stars. I love you and thank you."
