Is Song Kang Participating in 2023 SBS Drama Awards?
On December 24, reports claimed that Song Kang would not be attending this year's SBS Drama Awards due to his busy schedule. There were also speculations that the actor was already preparing for his military enlistment.
However, on the same day, after the news circulated online, SBS officially responded to the rumors.
According to the statement released by the broadcasting company, SBS, "the reports that Song Kang will be absent at the 2023 SBS Drama Awards are not true." They denied the Hallyu star's absence and added, "He is currently adjusting his schedule," giving viewers hope about the male star's attendance at the award show.

As of now, fans and viewers have to wait until the award ceremony to know whether Song Kang will be present.
About his enlistment, in the earlier reports released, Song Kang is expected to join the army in the first half of 2024 and the speculation of his early preparation this year claimed to be not true, as his agency, Namoo Actors has not released any statement yet regarding the news.
'My Demon' Episode & Achievement Updates
Song Kang is currently starring in the Friday-Saturday drama "My Demon" alongside actress Kim Yoo Jung.
He plays the role of Jung Gu Won, a demon who lost his powers and is involved in a contractual marriage with Do Do Hee, an icy chaebol heiress in order to fulfill his goal.
The duo is receiving a hot response from the audience and raving popularity in and outside South Korea. They even topped the Most Buzzworthy Drama Actors for two consecutive weeks already.
"My Demon" on the other hand, also ranked first as the most buzzworthy K-drama. The series even garnered 33.6 million viewing hours in just one week, according to Netflix, proving its immense popularity.
The fantasy-romance series is now in its second half and the main protagonists are experiencing shifts in their lives as Jung Gu Won regains his power after taking risks for Do Do Hee.
Meanwhile, Song Kang and Kim Yoo Jung are nominated for Best Couple at the 2023 SBS Drama Awards, which will take place on December 29 at 8:40 p.m. (KST).
