Byeon Woo Seok's 'The Best of Tomorrow to Release This 2024

tvN has finally announced the K-drama lineup to be released this 2024, and among the newest series to grace the screen is "Carry Sun Jae and Run" (literal translation), also known as "The Best of Tomorrow."

As a sneak peek, the production dropped stills introducing the lead characters.

"The Best of Tomorrow" is a webnovel-based series that features another time-slip romance story when Im Sol, a dedicated fan, is devastated by the sudden passing of her favorite star Ryu Sun Jae. She travels back in time to save him.

Lee Si Eun, the creator of "True Beauty" and "Top Star U-Back," penned the drama's script.

After his noteworthy performance as a villain in "Strong Girl Nam Soon" in 2023, Byeon Woo Seok stars in a new project this 2024. He takes on the role of Ryu Sun Jae, a South Korean top star popular for his outstanding looks, talents, and charisma.

Despite his ongoing popularity since his debut, Ryu Sun Jae grows weary of the entertainment industry and his life eventually meets a tragic end.

When Im Sol, his fan, traveled back to Ryu Jun Sae's vibrant youth at the age of 19, his innocent and peaceful life starts to change.

Kim Hye Yoon & Byeon Woo Seok to Debut as New K-Drama Couple

For his return, Byeon Woo Seok will have Kim Hye Yoon as his next leading lady. She is expected to portray the character of Im Sol, a passionate fan who is transported to the past to save her beloved star, Ryu Sun Jae.

Due to a childhood accident, Im Sol has given up on her dreams and becomes a loyal fan of Ryu Sun Jae, instead, after finding solace in his music.

Following the tragic fate of Ryu Sun Jae, Im Sol mysteriously teleports to 15 years in time. There, she is faced with Ryu Sun Jae and tries to change his fate.

Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon, who have shown solid acting skills through their previous projects, are already giving the viewers excitement about their synergy.

"The Best of Tomorrow" is expected to bring a fresh new wind to the history of fantasy and romance on tvN.

As of this writing, the broadcasting company has not confirmed the release date yet of the series.
