'Descendants of the Sun' Stars Song Joong Ki & Kim Ji Won to Reunite in 'Queen of Tears'

Ahead of its release, tvN's "Queen of Tears" dropped a major announcement, further exciting viewers.

On February 23, it was reported that Song Joong Ki will make a special appearance in Kim Ji Won's drama. Just after the news broke out, a representative from the actor's agency confirmed his participation in the series.

It has been said that the actor recently concluded filming his cameo for "Queen of Tears." The Hallyu superstar decided to star in the project to show his support for his former co-star.

Song Joong Ki and Kim Ji Won worked in the megahit series "Descendants of the Sun" in 2016, alongside Song Hye Kyo and Jin Goo. They also teamed up in the fantasy drama "Arthdal Chronicles" Season 1.

In addition, Song Joong Ki and Kim Ji Won are labelmates under HighZium Studio since 2022.

Kim Ji Won will transform into a chaebol heiress, Hong Hae In, known as the queen of Queens Group's department stores.

Opposite her is Kim Soo Hyun, who takes the role of Baek Hyeon Woo, the legal director of the conglomerate Queens Group, and will play as her husband.
