tvN continues to excite fans and viewers by dropping new stills of its soon-to-release time-slip series. On February 29, the team provided snaps of Byeon Woo Seok, introducing his character as a pop icon.
"Lovely Runner" is a time-slip romance drama that follows the story of Im Sol, a dedicated fan who is devastated after learning of the passing of her beloved star Ryu Sun Jae. Due to a miracle, she happens to go back in time to change his fate.
"True Beauty" writer Lee Si Eun penned the script for this work.
Before making it to the small screen, the team started to unveil Byeon Woo Seok's unconventional transformation in this project. He takes the role of Ryu Sun Jae, Korea's top star who is perfect in every way. Opposite him is Kim Hye Yoon who plays the character of a passionate fan Im Sol, who travels back in time to save Sun Jae.

The stills feature the different timelines of idol Ryu Sun Jae. First, in his thirties, he displayed elegance and outstanding talent as a member of the popular pop group Eclipse.
What We Know So Far About Byeon Woo Seok's Role in 'Lovely Runner'
The next photo follows his 19-year-old persona, who is a promising swimmer. His youthful and vibrant aura as a high school student wearing a uniform creates a deep contrast with his idol's appearance.
Byeon Woo Seok will have his idol debut in his new role as Ryu Sun Jae. Different from his previous works, the actor is already establishing great interest to viewers making them anticipate his upcoming return.
Aside from the photos, the production team also shared that the young actor plans to showcase the peak of his youth persona through Ryu Sun Jae's character. Since he is known as a hard-working actor, the team said that Byeon Woo Seok is dedicated and puts all his effort into bringing his drama character to life.
"Lovely Runner" marks Byeon Woo Seok's next drama following the success of his fantasy-romance series "Strong Girl Nam Soon," where he played a villain.
"Lovely Runner" is scheduled to premiere in the first half of 2024 and will occupy the Monday-Tuesday slots on tvN.
