Due to this, the "Squid Game" star is sentenced to 8 months in prison and 2 years of probation. In addition to this, the veteran actor will also undergo a sexual violence treatment program.

To recall, in 2022, the 79-year-old actor made headlines for inappropriate physical contact with a woman in 2017. The complaint was filed in 2021, but at the time, the authorities decided not to forward the case. However, the woman objected, and the complaint was raised with the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office.

The woman claimed that the veteran actor groped and kissed her on the cheek without her permission during a theater tour, which they were both part of.

At the time, the actor delivered a heartbreaking final remark, saying, "Standing trial for things like this at this age, I am in such pain and agony... I feel like my whole life is falling apart."

With the ongoing investigation, the scandal-ridden actor withdrew from the cast lineup of the upcoming movie.

Oh Young Soo is selected as one of the cast members in the film "Big Family," directed by Yang Woo Seok, of "Steel Rain" and "The Attorney."

This was supposed to be his next project after Netflix's "Squid Game" and bagging the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Miniseries, or Television Film for his role as Player 001 Oh Il Nam.

It depicts the story of an old grandfather who owns a dumpling restaurant. The movie focuses on the heartwarming tale and connection between him and his grandchildren.

The "Big Family" cast includes Kim Yun Seok, Lee Seung Gi, and Kang Han Na.

However, following the issue surrounding the Golden Globe winner, Oh Young Soo is replaced by fellow veteran star Lee Soon Jae, who also appeared in several K-dramas and movies such as "Again My Life,"  "Money Flower," and more.
