Ahn Bo Hyun Opens Up on ‘Attitude Problem’ Controversy In 2023: ‘I Didn’t Think It Was Huge Deal’

The actor clarified the air regarding the issue, and also finally explained his side 7 months later.

Ahn Bo Hyun Dishes On Past Attitude Problem Controversy

In an interview with Nate News, Ahn Bo Hyun connected with the fans and cleared out the misunderstanding that the public has about the Hallyu superstar.

Earlier in August 2023, the actor was involved in an "attitude problem" controversy due to a scene from his mega hit series "Yumi's Cells" making video that was released in 2021.

In the clip, Ahn Bo Hyun was leaning against a table and looking at the script held by a female staff member standing next to him. Many netizens criticized the actor, and was soon swarmed with malicious comments.

One viewer commented, "Can't you hold the script by yourself? You made the staff hold it on purpose, didn't you?"

Although the issue broke out, Ahn Bo Hyun's side didn't release any statement. The female staff in the clip clarified the controversy, saying that the actor never asked her to hold the script for him.

In the interview, Ahn Bo Hyun revealed being shocked about being misunderstood by the public, saying that he's always treated his staff with respect like close family members.

"I've been with my staff, stylists and managers for more than 12 years now," Ahn Bo Hyun revealed. "I thought nothing would be a huge deal because they are all like friends to me."

When asked why he didn't speak on the rumor, Ahn Bo Hyun reasoned that he initially thought it would only feel like an excuse, especially that he never did such actions.

With that, the actor thankfully shed light to the issue, satisfying the public's curiosity. At the moment, Ahn Bo Hyun is preparing for his silver screen comeback this 2024.

Alongside Girls' Generation Yoona, the actor headlines the upcoming romantic comedy film "2 O'Clock Date," which tells the story of a woman who meets with a man at 2:00 a.m. for a date.

The film also stars veteran star Sung Dong Il and rising actors Joo Hyun Young and Go Geon Han. Meanwhile, "2 O'Clock Date" is scheduled to hit the theaters in June 2024.
