Fans will be seeing more of Ji Chang Wook as the actor is teaming up with Ma Dong Seok in "Twelve."

With a slew of his upcoming K-dramas, the South Korean heartthrob is tapped to portray another challenging role with his first ever superhero character.

In a report cited by a news outlet, Ji Chang Wook was offered to star in the upcoming Korean superhero drama "Twelve."

The actor is "currently in discussions" to headline the forthcoming series.

As mentioned, if Ji Chang Wook officially accepts the offer, he will be teaming up with Ma Dong Seok, raising anticipation for the duo's on-screen chemistry.

In addition to this, "Twelve" will be the first superhero genre he has appeared in since his debut.

While K-zombie series previously dominated various platforms and created buzz online, viewers are also showing interest in superhero K-dramas. 

From "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" and its spin-off, as well as "The Uncanny Counter," "Behind Your Touch," and, of course, Disney+'s "Moving," broadcast networks continue to introduce superhero-themed genres to viewers. 

As for the upcoming series "Twelve," the story focuses on the journey of multiple superheroes, whose mission is to protect the Korean Peninsula from evil spirits. Although the group is bound by one mission, which is to save humans, the group showcases unique charms and diverse abilities. 

Ma Dong Seok is offered to play the character of the leader of the heroes, named Taesan. 

As for Ji Chang Wook's new role, his character in "Twelve" is yet to be revealed. 

Directed by seasoned filmmaker Ko Sung Mok, the drama is scheduled to be released at the end of next year.

"Twelve" will be Ma Dong Seok's first K-drama appearance since his cameo role in the 2020 series "Team Bulldog: Off-duty Investigation."

As for Ji Chang Wook, the top star will headline multiple K-dramas in 2024.

After having back-to-back K-dramas in 2023 through the action-packed "The Worst of Evil '' and romance series "Welcome to Samdal-ri," Ji Chang Wook continues to receive offers from upcoming projects. 

Among his soon-to-be released K-dramas is "Queen Woo," an action historical series airing in the second half of the year via TVING. 

Ji Chang Wook will be joined by an interesting lineup of stars, including Jeon Jong Seo, Kim Moo Yeol, Lee Soo Hyuk, Jung Yoo Mi, and Park Ji Hwan, as lead stars. 

On top of it, he will also play the lead role in Disney+'s "Gangnam B-Side" with Jo Woo Jin and Ha Yoon Kyung. 

Interestingly, the series will also be a reunion project with his "The Worst of Evil" co-star, BIBI.
