Byeon Woo Seok Reveals Story About His First Love and Why He Considers Himself a ‘Loser’

Byeon Woo Seok opens up about his first love and how challenging it is for him to confess his feelings.

The rising star continues to pique the interest of viewers now that the popularity of his K-drama "Lovely Runner" remains one of the most talked about series in 2024.

One of the things that made the public curious was Byeon Woo Seok's dating status and past relationships.

Interestingly, he dishes on his personal experience when it comes to love during his guest appearance in "Yoo Quiz on the Block."

As hosts Yoo Jae Suk and Jo Se Ho got curious about the actor's dating history, he was asked about his real first love.

Byeon Woo Seok Recalls His First Love

Although he was asked a very personal question, Byeon Woo Seok casually talked about his experience with one-sided love.

According to him, it was during middle school that he first felt the feeling of being in love.

"It was a one-sided love. We were close friends. I couldn't confess. I kept waiting for the right moment, but I never did."

He recalled that there are times when he wants to confess but has no guts to admit it in front of the girl.

"I'm a bit of a loser," he said, adding, "I thought, 'I'll confess while walking on the Cheonggyecheon Bridge today,' but the words wouldn't come out. They were on the tip of my tongue."

He added that the thing that was holding him back was their friendship and that he was "afraid" to lose their connection as friends.

"So in the end, I never confessed," he furthered.

Byeon Woo Seok Dating 'Lovely Runner' Co-Star Kim Hye Yoon?

Due to the undeniable on-screen chemistry of the "Lovely Runner" lead stars, there were speculations about a possible real-life romance between Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon.

Interestingly, they've responded to the public's speculation and addressed dating rumors surrounding them.

In an episode of "Salon Drip," where they appeared as guests, the host, Jang Do Yeon, couldn't help but get curious if they were really dating in real-life.

Interestingly, instead of explaining their side, the actress asked her co-star to answer the question, to which Byeon Woo Seok replied and cheekily said, "No comment," sending fans into a frenzy.

Over social media, viewers continue to ship the "Lovely Runner" lead stars and point out the intense chemistry they have on-screen.

"Lovely Runner" is a webtoon based rom-com that depicts the story of a top star, Ryu Seon Jae (Byeon Woo Seok), who meets his number one fan, Im Sol (Kim Hye Yoon), which leads to an unexpected closeness between the two.

The K-drama airs every Monday and Tuesday, with the finale episode airing on May 28.
