Singer Ailee broke down in tears during a touching moment with her husband, Choi Si-hoon, in a vlog posted to his YouTube channel on May 29.
The video, titled "We went on our honeymoon to Dubai and the Maldives!", was shared on Choi's channel, Choi Si-hoon, the Ultimate Husband.
The couple, who recently tied the knot, gave fans an intimate look into their honeymoon, including a candid dinner conversation in the Maldives that left viewers emotional.
While dining together, Ailee asked her husband, "What were you going to say earlier?" prompting Choi to share a deeply personal message about their relationship and the public's response to their marriage.
"If I hadn't met you, I don't think so many people—strangers—would be congratulating me like this," Choi said.
"Even before we came on our honeymoon, when I went shopping for shoes and hats, people kept saying, 'Is that you?' and offered extra things to congratulate me. I get a lot of 'Please take care of our Ailee' vibes."
Choi continued, "Being with you makes me feel like I'm experiencing a greater happiness that I wouldn't have otherwise. It's like my 'blessing gauge' was at this level before, but meeting you has raised it this much."
Ailee, visibly emotional, responded, "I'm getting emotional because you've been through a lot of hardships since meeting me, haven't you?"
"Of course, there have been tough times," Choi said. "But the gratitude and happiness I feel are far greater."
"Hearing you think that way makes me feel so grateful and relieved," Ailee replied. "Otherwise, I might have thought it was all just pain and hardship."
The heartfelt moment comes amid public scrutiny of Choi, who rose to fame on Netflix's Single's Inferno and has faced online rumors, including claims that he previously worked at a host bar.
Choi has denied the allegations and announced through his agency earlier this year that he would pursue legal action against those spreading false information.
The couple held a star-studded wedding in April, which quickly made headlines across South Korean entertainment media.
Since then, they've remained in the spotlight, with fans closely following their journey as newlyweds.
