Actor Lee Chae Min talked candidly about juggling his off-screen romance with actress Ryu Da In while shooting an on-screen romance with Girls' Generation's YoonA.

Lee's latest drama The Government of the Bully wrapped with a national rating of 17.1%. Laodong reports that the drama was tvN's top-rated drama of 2025 and broke into the network's all-time Top 10 at No. 7.

Success was partly credited to Lee's chemistry with YoonA, even though they were ten years apart in age. The 2000-born actor was applauded for properly acting affectionate towards his elder co-star.

In real life, Lee is romantically involved with actress and model Ryu Da In, who shares his age.

Some viewers were concerned that the fact that the public knew of his relationship would affect fan interest for his drama's central love couple.

When asked in a September 30 interview if being in a public relationship put him under pressure, Lee replied candidly. He stated, "It's not pressure, it's the motivation for me to focus more on the character."

He further stated, "I always try to make the audience feel the character I show, not the real me. That helps the audience immerse themselves in the film, and at the same time helps me control my mind better."

The reporters also questioned Ryu Da In's response to how the drama became successful. Lee responded, "Actually, we don't talk much about each other's works. This is quite sensitive, so I don't like to share more."

According to Maeil Business (MK), Lee elaborated further by explaining that public dating did not burden him but instead encouraged him to concentrate fully on his roles.
