Actor Park Seo Joon shared the pressures he has been under while preparing for his role in JTBC's romance drama "Surely Tomorrow." At the production presentation, he brought up public concern over the 11-year difference between him and the female lead, Won Ji An, an issue highly debated ahead of the show's debut.

According to Koreaboo, Park Seo Joon revealed that his role in the drama called for him to express his character, Lee Gyeong Do, through three different ages: 20, 28 and 38. In presenting his thoughts, the report first gave a neutral introductory sentence. Park Seo Joon revealed, "I thought the drama needed that to feel complete."
He added that it was a tough transformation, and he felt the pressure to show authenticity in the character's decade-spanning journey. "Because of the real age difference, I was concerned before meeting Ji An," Park Seo Joon said, "I thought the gap might be obvious visually. But she has been incredibly mature. I don't know what she's experienced in life, but she felt seasoned and stable. That helped me let go of a lot of the pressure. Still, the pressure pushed me to take extra good care of myself."

News1 reported that Park Seo Joon had delivered the remarks in a jokingly playful tone, making light of how the age difference was motivation to keep his appearance in check in preparation for the series' romantic elements.
Won Ji An also spoke at this event: "I didn't feel burdened. I don't think there's much of a visual gap either. People tend to see me as a bit older than my age, so I never thought I'd look too young next to him."
"Surely Tomorrow" interweaves the lives of ex-lovers Lee Gyeong Do and Seo Ji Woo, who, years after their breakup, find themselves thrown together under unexpected circumstances: one as a reporter covering a cheating scandal and the other as the wife of that scandal-plagued man. The drama will show how timing, regret, and rediscovery shape the renewed relationship between them.
The new JTBC series is set to air December 6 and has drawn keen interest from longtime fans of both actors, as well as viewers who are curious about their on-screen chemistry.
