The agency for actress Shin Ye Eun, NPIO Entertainment, announced a big update in how the fans could show their support by limiting all gifts to handwritten letters.

On December 8, NPIO posted a notice on its official social media titled, "Guidelines on Receiving Gifts for Actress Shin Ye Eun." The agency noted that any gifts arriving after December 21, 2025 will no longer be delivered to the actress. Items received past the deadline may be returned or discarded depending on the situation reported, according to Allkpop.

The agency also went on to outline the birthday gift policies, specifying that only handwritten letters will be allowed as a means of support for Shin Ye Eun's birthday. "We kindly ask for understanding from fans who may have already prepared gifts or support projects," the notice read.
A source from k‑snapp emphasized Shin Ye Eun's personal preference for the change: "We would like to relay Shin Ye Eun's message that the letters filled with fans' sincerity are what mean the most to her. We kindly ask for your understanding," said the statement, closing with, "Thank you to all fans who continue to support Shin Ye Eun."
The update received mixed feelings from fans on social media right away. One fan said, "It's nice that she values our messages, but I hope those who already bought gifts won't be too disappointed." Another added, "Handwritten letters feel so personal—this shows how much she appreciates the sentiment behind the support."
According to observers, it is part of a growing trend among K-pop and K-drama stars who wish to minimise logistical burdens and aim for more meaningful connections with fans. As explained by Allkpop, the limitation of gifts to letters should help streamline the management from the agencies while preserving sincerity in fan interactions.
Industry analysts say the new policy will also protect the actress from being abused by the gifts and the number of packages she may receive on a daily basis. A source with k‑snapp explained, "his is a practical decision that ensures both fans and the actress maintain a respectful and safe form of engagement."
Under the new rules, fans of Shin Ye Eun are invited to show their love by writing personal letters to her, which deepen the connection between an artist and their following in a considerate, sustainable manner.
