The South Korean entertainment industry is certainly gaining a lot of exposure, and a recent example of this is when actress Jeon Won-joo recently stated that she plans to distribute the vast majority of her wealth.

She expressed her rational for doing so in a YouTube video. These comments have led to a plethora of different opinions from the audience; particularly regarding how to view one's wealth and the responsibility that comes along with being wealthy. Her comments were both very humorous and very sincere.

Jeon said these things on December 30 while he was on the YouTube channel Jeon Won-joo Ingong with comedian Kim Dae-hee. Kim stressed how important it is to leave a lasting impression at the end of a video and suggested that she do so with a three-line poem.

Jeon then explained her philosophy by saying, "I'll give all my wealth not to those who ask for it, but to those who work hard.." Kim said, "That's the best three-line poem I've ever heard" in response to what she said.

Newsis says that the conversation later turned to Jeon's past money problems. Before giving her opinion, Kim discussed rumors about how she spends her money. Jeon talked about the subject directly, saying, "I was ripped off a lot in the past. I thought people with pretty faces would pay well, but they just took everything and carried it away."

Jeon didn't say how much money she made each month or how much her stocks made, but she did talk about her investment history. When asked about losses, she said, "I haven't lost any money on stocks." When Kim said she was jealous of rising real estate prices, Jeon told her how she bought it: ""I bought it while hiking. I bought it for dirt cheap, but it went up because it was developed."

She also gave tips on how to handle money. Jeon expressed her belief that a small amount of money can make a significant difference. Instead of spending, have fun saving. She said, "Now that it's time to move on, I'm not greedy," as she thought about her current state of mind.

Jeon pushed for everyone to help each other as the conversation went on. She said, "Get in touch with me when things get tough." We should be strong for each other. Kim jokingly asked for money, and Jeon, who was also joking, changed the subject to avoid the request.

Naver says that Kim later gave advice on how to build success over time. Jeon then gave her own definition of luxury: "If you know how to save, spend, save, and spend, then that's a luxury item."

People know that Jeon Won-joo has well over 4 billion won in assets, such as stocks, gold, and real estate in Seoul. She talked about her money journey on tvN's You Quiz on the Block. She said, "I started with 5 million won in stocks in 1987 and it grew to 3 billion won."
