In a video uploaded on Feb. 1 on her channel, Kyung-hye's Vlog, Park Kyung-hye shared her experiences of her relocation to Yeoksam-dong in Gangnam. The video, "But... It's Beyond What You Imagine," shows Park Kyung-hye experiencing her life as an independent resident for the first time. In the video, she shared, "At 33, I'm living independently for the first time. Now, I'm a Gangnam Yeoksam-dong person."

According to TenAsia, Park Kyung-hye visited a real estate agency on her own and openly shared her uncertainty about housing costs. Describing the situation, she said, "There aren't many monthly rental options. Should I go for a lease instead?" While viewing properties, she also noted the financial pressure involved, stating, "The deposit is high," and adding, "I'm worried about the monthly rent. It's not a fixed expense I used to have, so I'm concerned if I can manage it."

Park Kyung-hye also explained why she decided to move in her 30s after years of commuting. Reflecting on her daily routine, she said, "I was sleep-deprived. Traffic in the suburbs can be heavy within just 10 minutes. Since my appointments and acting classes are in Gangnam, I decided to find a place there." She acknowledged the emotional difficulty of change, adding, "I delayed it because change is hard for me, but now I've taken the step."

According to TenAsia, her decision was further influenced by safety concerns related to long commutes. Recalling early-morning filming schedules, Park Kyung-hye said, "I thought I liked driving, but it was actually dangerous. Driving while tired is risky. I can't endure it anymore."

The actress also shared humorous but telling moments from her house-hunting experience. Recounting a conversation with a real estate agent, she said, "When I asked, 'Why is life so tough?' the real estate agent said, 'You haven't even reached the entrance yet.' It was funny." She added, "I'm 33, but socially, I'm 17. Starting something new is daunting, and I'm afraid of making mistakes."

Her first independent home was shown in its raw state, featuring mold, rust, and clutter. Park Kyung-hye admitted, "The cleaning fee was too high, so I tried to clean it myself, but it was impossible." After hiring professionals and furnishing the space, she expressed satisfaction with her new beginning.

In separate news, according to Khallyu, actress Park Kyung-hye opened up about past severe anxiety that led to frequent emergency room visits, revealing she has not been hospitalized in four years thanks to the emotional support of close friend Girl's Day Hyeri, whose reassurance and empathy helped her develop a healthier mindset.
