Although singer and actor Kim Hyun Joong is innocent until proven guilty, the evidence provided by his accuser is getting plenty of public attention. A woman who said she dated him for two years filed charges against him for assault and recently released photos to the Dispatch allegedly documenting her injuries.

The news of abuse allegations hit the newspaper on Aug. 22nd. The woman known only as "A" said that she had dated Kim Hyun Joong for two years and that he assaulted her twice, once in May and again in July.

A day later his agency, KeyEast Entertainment, claimed that her charges were exaggerated. They said the couple had only one fight, which did get physical, and that the woman later injured herself while they were fooling around. They also said and that the couple only recently started dating.

A day later, texts surfaced to disprove at least part of their statement. The text showed that the couple had dated for two years just as "A" alleged. In the texts Kim Hyun Joong told "A" he loved her and asked her not to break up with him.

The latest development is that the Dispatch has obtained photos of "A's" injuries.

According to the accompanying certificate, after the first incident in May, "A" had bruises on her left shoulder joint as well as her chest, arms, hip and face. The doctor told her that the bruises would take two weeks to heal.

The police have finished questioning "A" and will now summon Kim Hyun Joong for questioning. It is expected that his testimony will be given during the first week of September.

A KeyEast representative told Osen that no one should jump to conclusions and further investigation will reveal the truth. For now they are standing behind their original statement defending Kim Hyun Joong.

"In order for this issue to be resolved quickly, he will fully cooperate with the police investigations as soon as he returns from Thailand," said the KeyEast representative.

The majority of netizens posting comments published versions of this story found that "A" was right to make such a claim and while they hoped the allegations were not true, Kim Hyun Joong deserved no pity if they were.

However, other fans refused to believe the accusations. When the singer performed in Thailand, some of his fans held up signs that said "We'll never leave you."
