Kim So-young, a former announcer and broadcaster, publicly defended her husband, Oh Sang-jin which is a news anchor and television actor, against recent criticism of his blunt behavior and claims that their marriage was falling apart. This clarification came after viewers of Kim So-young's YouTube channel expressed concerns about how Oh Sang-jin was treating his wife.

As reported by Naver, on April 20, Kim So-young shared on social media a candid moment of Oh Sang-jin playing with their newborn son, explaining the context behind his seemingly indifferent attitude.

She wrote, "Since our house and the postpartum care center are quite far apart, I told him he didn't have to come today, but I made it very obvious that I was lonely and bored."

She detailed their phone call, "We hung up after he agreed not to come, but then he suddenly showed up as a surprise a few hours later." However, she noted that upon arrival, instead of greeting warmly, he only said, "'Ah, I'm tired.'"

Per Sports Seoul , Kim So-young responded to online comments labeling Oh Sang-jin as "blunt," saying, "He has been doing full care of Su-a (our daughter) for two days, broadcasting, and going back and forth to the postpartum care center. He has suffered through all that hardship, but he is the head of our household who doesn't know how to give lip service." She concluded, "I thought he was a truly unique person today as well."

The couple has faced criticism on Kim So-young's YouTube channel, with some commenters expressing concern over Oh Sang-jin's tone.

Comments included, "Every time I watch, I feel this, but why is Oh Sang-jin so prickly toward Kim So-young?", "I watched his YouTube videos from the early days of their marriage, and I get hurt just watching them," and "It is so disappointing that only the wife is being criticized." These remarks prompted Kim So-young to publicly address the issue.

Kim So-young and Oh Sang-jin married in 2017. They have two children: a daughter born in 2019 and a son born on April 3 of this year.
