South Korean voice actress Seo Yu-ri has publicly appealed for help after revealing she is facing ongoing malicious online comments and harassment that she says have severely affected her emotional well-being.
The broadcaster shared a screenshot on social media showing derogatory comments about her, which she said were part of a long-running pattern of online abuse.
A message posted by Seo Yu-ri described her emotional state as she revisited the material for legal action. "My hands are trembling. There is much more severe content than this," Seo Yu-ri said, according to Daum.
She explained that the posts were being collected as part of a formal legal complaint and said revisiting them had caused renewed distress.
A follow-up statement from Seo Yu-ri highlighted the emotional toll of preparing legal documentation. "I opened it again to write a statement of opinion to submit to the prosecution," Seo Yu-ri said. "My heart breaks down again. I don't know how long I can hold out," per Star News.
Seo Yu-ri also previously addressed the situation in earlier social media posts, saying she had been the target of sustained stalking and defamation since 2020.

A prior statement from the broadcaster described the scale and duration of the alleged harassment.
"Since 2020, someone has been repeatedly posting content targeting me on online communities almost every day," Seo Yu-ri said. "My photos and name were posted, and sexual insults and derogatory remarks about my character have continued for years."
She also explained that legal proceedings have been ongoing but delayed, with repeated changes in prosecutors handling the case. A further statement detailed her frustration with the legal process.
"I filed a complaint against the individual for violating the Stalking Punishment Act, but there has been no conclusion for five months, with the prosecutor in charge changing four times," Seo Yu-ri said. "Instead, the individual has sued me for defamation by stating false facts and defamation by stating facts. It is a situation where the victim has become a suspect simply for raising their voice."
Seo Yu-ri, who debuted as a voice actor in 2008 and later appeared in variety programming including "My Little Television," has spoken publicly in recent years about personal challenges, including divorce and alleged stalking.
A media analyst noted that cases involving online harassment have become increasingly common in the entertainment industry. "Public figures are often disproportionately affected by persistent digital harassment due to their visibility," the analyst said.
Seo Yu-ri's appeal has sparked renewed discussion in South Korea about online harassment in the entertainment industry.
