Sulli Plans To Return To The Spotlight And Promote 'Fashion King'

F(x) member Sulli has taken some time off from the spotlight but she is determined to play her part in the upcoming promotions for her new film "Fashion King."

The singer-turned-actress has kept a low profile for the last three months with rumors going so far as to say that she had given up on acting.

In July her agency, SM Entertainment said that Sulli would be taking a break from all entertainment activities. Her group f(x) had to promote "Red Light" with one less member. Sulli did not appear at the SMTOWN Live World Tour IV and the other members performed without her.

SM Entertainment was supportive of her need to take time off.

"We will protect our artist by minimizing her activities and giving her time to rest," said an SM representative.

Sulli's disappearance was reportedly prompted by the negative reaction to the news that she was dating Dynamic Duo's Choiza. The couple at first denied they were dating but their agencies had to confirm their relationship after they were photographed together. They were seen together at a drive-in, watching the film "The Pirates," in which Sulli had a supporting role.

Some f(x) fans were not pleased that the couple denied their relationship. Fans posted negative comments and went as far as burning her pictures. The stress this generated forced Sulli to withdraw. It is rumored that she already missed one poster shoot for "Fashion King."

However, a representative for the film's distribution company has stated that Sulli will appear at upcoming press events alongside her co-stars Joo Won, Park Se Young, Ahn Jae Hyun and Kim Sung Oh. Company officials told Newsen that Sulli was determined to attend all press events because of her affection for the film.

"Fashion King"" is based on a webtoon about Woo Ki Young, a student who decides to become cool and fashionable in order to win Hye Jin, the school's prettiest and most popular girl. Joo Won, who currently stars in the drama"Tomorrow Cantabile," plays Woo Ki Young. Park Se Young plays Joo Won's crush Hye Jin.

Sulli plays Kwak Eun Ji, the girl who has a crush on Woo Ki Young, but he does not even notice her. She in turn will transform herself in order to win his affections. Sulli is expected to attend the film's press conference on Oct. 31. The film premieres in theaters on Nov. 6.
