‘Dr. Jin’ Unable to Take Advantage of ‘A Gentleman’s Dignity’ Delay
MBC's weekend drama 'Dr. Jin' unexpectedly did not air on August 4th.
The delay of episode 21 of 'Dr. Jin' was announced on MBC's homepage which read, "It has been officially decided that this week's episode of 'Dr. Jin' will be delayed as a result of the 2012 London Olympics. Instead, we will air the Olympic Women's fencing semifinals."
MBC was unable to make a faster decision regarding the delay due to the unpredictability of the Olympic matches. MBC had planned and announced that they would air the episode until the evening of the 4th.
It had been fortunate for 'Dr. Jin' that the broadcast of SBS's drama 'A Gentleman's Dignity' was also at a halt. This gave 'Dr. Jin' the potential to rate number one in viewers, which it had achieved on July 28 for the first time since May 26.
