Jeff Bridges To Return In ‘Iron Man 4?' Actor Revealed That Iron Monger May Still Be Alive! ‘I Was Thinking I Would Be In The Sequels’

The "Iron Man 4" rumors ended when Robert Downey Jr. confirmed that he won't be appearing in another stand alone movie.

However, he told David Letterman that he will be doing other stuff with Marvel. We all know that the 49-year old actor will be part of "Captain America: Civil War" and "Avengers: Infinity War" parts 1 and 2. Basically, these movies are enough to keep him busy.

Since Marvel Studios has already revealed their lineup of movies until 2019, fans are wondering if there's still a chance for a fourth "Iron Man" movie after that. Kevin Feige gave fans some hope when he revealed the status of the film franchise.

"If there are more years after 2019, then there will be more possibilities. I hope there are more years," Marvel President told  Movie Web.

During a recent interview with io9, Jeff Bridges who starred as Obadiah Stane, or also known as Iron Monger, in the first "Iron Man" movie revealed that his character may still be alive. Could that mean that we may see the villain in "Iron Man 4?"

"The Iron Monger falls into this big pit of whatever it is, some kind of acid or something, in his costume. They pull it up in the big crane and they open up his costume and he's gone," the actor said.

That totally makes sense because there was no body recovered which means that he could have escaped.

"And when we were shooting that film they said, 'No we're not going to do that. We're just going to have you go.' And I said, 'Oh shit, I was kind of disappointed.' Because I was thinking [I would] be in the sequels. But they said it's a comic book, maybe the Iron Monger will come back. I said 'Yeah, right.'" Jeff Bridges revealed.

Since Feige said that there's still a possibility for "Iron Man 4" after 2019, then maybe we will see another fight between Iron Man and Iron Monger in the future. In the meantime, enjoy their thrilling fight in the 2008 movie:
