Five Fun Facts About Im Seulong
Im Seulong plays Byun Kang Chul, the ex and baby daddy of UEE's character in the drama "Fool's Love." His character spent the first two episodes of the drama mostly hiding in his office but viewers can definitely expect to see more of him.
And they can expect to see more of Im Seulong, whose acting resume keeps growing. The 2AM singer-turned-actor's five-year drama career so far includes playing roles in "Personal Taste" with Lee Min Ho and Son Ye Jin," "The Fugitive of Joseon" and "Hotel King with Lee Da Hae and Lee Dong Wook." He's only getting started.
Here are a few fun facts about Im Seulong.
1. The 27-year-old does not think he is good looking. In an interview with Elle magazine, he compared himself unfavorably to Ryan Gosling.
"Although I'm not very good looking like actor Ryan Gosling, I want to become an actor with charm," he said.
2. He wants to get married quickly, but between singing with 2AM and acting there has not been a lot of time for dating. In a 2013 interview with @Star1 magazine he admitted to being jealous of Wonder Girls' Sun, who is married.
"Especially because I really like children I want to get married quickly and have them," he said.
3. He wants to make the world a better place. That's why he says he discusses social issues on twitter. He hopes in his own small way to make people notice what is going on around them and take action.
"I hope I can make the world a better place, even if only a small step in my mind," he told Newsen. "Of course this is a scary thing to do. It's not like I know everything about the world."
4. He is learning more about acting and recognition for those efforts should come as no surprise since he is a self-described perfectionist. In 2013, he won a rookie award for playing a police officer and would-be assassin in the film "26 Years."
"I gained many new experiences through "26 Years," he said. "And I'm very happy I've been able to win such a meaningful award with it." When he won the award he became the third idol group member to win a rookie award for a film debut. The first two were Big Bang's T.O.O. and miss A's Suzy Bae.
5. He has collaborated musically with a variety of artists including IU, 2PM's Ok Taecyeon, G.N.A., and most recently Shim Hyun Bo.
