Lee Hong Ki's Agency Denies Dating Rumors

It was only a few weeks ago that F.T. Island singer and actor Lee Hong Ki appeared on the program "Witch Hunt" and said that he was not concerned about what other people said about his dating life.

"I'm not the type of person that pays attention to what other people think about me dating," he said.

But on April 10, his agency, FNC Entertainment felt it necessary to correct rumors that Lee Hong Ki might be dating a Japanese model.

When Lee Hong Ki, 25, appeared on "Witch Hunt" he was asked if his lack of concern might lead to the rumors becoming a problem. Lee said rumors were not a big deal because his agency knew how to deal with rumors.

"It's the job of the agency to block those kinds of rumors," he said. "There is no clause in my contract that says I can't date."

And blocking rumors is just what his agency has been busy doing. When rumors surfaced that he was dating Ai Shinozaki, a Japanese swimsuit and lingerie model, his agency rushed to deny it. Ai Shinozaki not only models but the 23-year-old also sings with the group AeLL.

When a Japanese news source said the entertainers had dated since October 2014, FNC Entertainment immediately denied it by releasing an official statement saying that the entertainers were not a couple.

'After checking with Lee Hong Ki, it turns out they are just friends," FNC Entertainment told enews. "They're not dating. Lee Hong Ki has been promoting in Japan with F.T. Island for a very long time. During this time we belive he got to know Shinozaki Ai through a local friend. They are just friends who hand out with their friends."

Lee Hong Ki previously got in trouble with his agency because of his remarks about dating. When he appeared on the FNC Entertainment reality show "Cheomdamdong 111," he was asked if he had a girlfriend. He relied that he did. But he did not realize he was being recorded. When the news spread, he realized his mistake and retracted his original statement, commenting on Twitter that he was "alone."

He also admitted that he had broken up with girls three times because of the demands of his musical career. Besides appearing in F.T. Island, Lee Hong Ki has a long list of acting credits. He began acting as a child and is best known for his roles in the dramas "You're Beautiful," "Bride of the Century" and "Modern Farmer."
