Not only are Lee Min Ho, Won Bin, Song Joong Ki and Jang Geun Suk talented and attractive actors. The Hallyu stars are generous with their time and money. Lee, Won, Song and Jang were recently named to the UNICEF Honors Club for their donations to and efforts on behalf of the worldwide children's charity.

According to the Korean media outlet Newsen, the Korean Committee for UNICEF formally inaugurated the UNICEF Honors Club on May 28. The cub was founded to honor those who made large donations to help protect children around the world and to encourage others to make similar donations.

Each of these actors has made a serious effort to help the children's charity.

For two years running, Lee Min Ho teamed up with the outdoor brand Eider to launch the 'I Support UNICEF' campaign. Each year, Eider selects a product and donates a percentage of its proceeds to the organization and as their spokesperson Lee uses his star power to encourage people to participate. He also recently donated about $90,000 under his fan club's name to the charity's Nepal earthquake relief fund.

Won Bin, who married actress Lee Na Young in a secret ceremony this week, has served as an ambassador for UNICEF since 2007. His work is focused on children in Asia. He participated in the Awoo doll initiative to raise money for vaccinations and equipment to fight malaria. He also visited a relief center in Gambia as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF.

While he was still in the military Song Joong Ki donated $90,000 to the charity to help the victims of the earthquake in Nepal.

And Jang Geun Suk donated approximately $90,000 to the Philippines through UNICEF to help the people suffering from Tropical Storm Haiyan. It wasn't his first donation either as he previously donated $4,400 to UNICEF.

Ahn Sung Gi, Korea's national ambassador with UNICEF attended the ceremony, along with Joo Pil Ho, the CEO of Jupiter Film. Joo Pil Ho, whose company produced the film "The Face Reader," donated part of the film's revenue to UNICEF and plans to continue with donations.

Honors Club members also include Kim Yuna, who is a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF, as well as Choi Byung Oh, CEO of the fashion Group Hyungji.

"Honors club invite the donors who donated a lump sum amount of over 100 million won as well as the donors who pledge to donate the accumulative amount to reach the goal," said Seo Daewon, secretary of Korea Committee for UNICEF.  "We hope we can attract the heartwarming participation from more donors through the active promotion by the current members of the honors club".
