Kang Min Hyuk, CNBLUE's drummer, celebrated his birthday on June 28. Kang is an upbeat member within the K-pop-rock group, often infusing his effervescent personality into his stage performances. While he is known for his music performances, K-Drama fans recognize him from his roles in the musical drama "Heartstrings" and as Yoon Chang Young in the successful teen series, "The Heirs."

Here are six fun facts about CNBLUE's Kang Min Hyuk.

1. He is not the youngest member of CNBLUE.

While he may appear to be the youngest member of the group, Lee Jung Shin beats him by a few months. Kang Min Hyuk was born on June 28, 1991, while Lee Jung Shin celebrates the birth date of September 15, 1991.

2. Kim So Hyun may have replaced Kim Tae Hee, as his ideal type.

The 24-year-old star recently appeared on the variety show, "I Live Alone," where he revealed that "Who Are You: School 2015" star Kim So Hyun was his ideal type. In previous interviews, he selected "IRIS" star Kim Tae Hee, but it appears as though she may have been replaced. When he was presented with an opportunity to call the "Who Are You: School 2015," he shyly addressed her. Unfortunately, she was busy filming and unable to speak with him.

3. He wasn't a drummer, he would probably play the flute.

In additional to being a talented drummer, he is a flutist.

4. His acting debut was in the 2010 musical film, "Acoustic."

He appeared alongside CNBLUE's Lee Jong Hyun in the segment of the film titled, "Bakery Attack." In "Bakery Attack," a starving guitarist decides to sell his instrument, in order to feed himself and his friend, who is a drummer. Kang Min Hyuk portrayed Hae Won, the forgetful drummer, who misplaced the guitar in a bakery. The misfortunate situation has a positive ending, as the band members decide to continue pursuing their craft, at the advice of the amateur musician-turned-bakery owner.

5.  Kang Min Hyuk appeared in two dramas with Park Shin Hye.

He has acted opposite Park Shin Hye on two occasions. He starred as Yoo Joon Hee, the lead drummer of the fictitious band Stupid, in "Heartstrings." He was reunited with Park in the 2013 pan-Asian hit drama, "The Heirs"
