Lim Ji Yeon Talks About Her ‘High Society’ Character And Kisses

The Korean media outlet OSEN recently interviewed rookie actress Lim Ji Yeon and discovered she was a lot like her popular "High Society" character.

In "High Society," she played the sweet and charming Lee Ji Yi, a poor girl who falls in love with the chaebol Yoo Chang Soo, played by ZE:A's Park Hyung Sik. It was an easy role to play, she said, since the bubbly yet pragmatic Ji Yi was much like her.

"I didn't feel pressure in having to show a different side of me," said Lim. "I just acted out myself".

And even the skinship scenes were fun.

"There was a scene where I ask Chang Soo if I can touch his ears. Hyung Sik and I were surprised to read that on the script. I became shameless after that. We both became greedy for more and agreed to make it fun. We went overboard to make it fun and enjoyed doing so."

She had already met Hyung Sik on the SBS TV show "Law of the Jungle" but getting close and person was not awkward.

"There's the scene where they spend a night at a hotel," she said. "We called it the 'sexual scene.' It could've been awkward but it was fun. Being shy was fun. We kissed in the rain and it was over before we knew it. Hyung Sik is really good at acting. I was surprised because he concentrates really well and I was led by him."

But, she says, the couple chemistry that made the show fun to watch does not extend beyond the set.

"Hyung Sik is an attractive man," said Lim. "He's handsome and polite. He's manly and very popular. Many people asked if we're really going out but I don't think Hyung Sik thinks of me as a girl."

And yet during the show's press conference, he confessed to being charmed by the character she played and said he would date someone like that in real life.

"I really like Ji Yi," said Park. "The character Ji Yi approaches me in an extremely charming way, which made me think how attractive it'd be if there were a woman like this. I am happy these days to the point that I think how nice it'd be if she existed in real life."

In the OSEN interview Lim says she is as bold and brave as Lee Ji Yi.

"I am a curious girl. I want to try new things."

Lim is currently considered a rising star and receives plenty of casting offers. She first attracted attention in the film "Obsessed," with co-star Song Seung Hoon. After that she also starred in another film "The Treacherous."
