Lee Min Ho recently visited Rome for an endorsement shoot and the reason behind his trip has been revealed.
On October 2, Starhaus Entertainment revealed that the 28-year-old actor has been chosen as a spokesmodel for the Italian chocolatier, Ferrero Rocher.
According to an article published by TV Report, the Hallyu star will appear in upcoming advertisements timed with key holidays including Christmas and Valentine's Day.
The first ad, titled Italian Flair, features key tourist attractions throughout Rome. The popular television and film star appears against the backdrop of monuments and the busy streets of the historic city.
The agency released a teaser photo from the upcoming commercial for the popular confectionary.
"Korean Wave star Lee Min Ho has exceptional talent, as a model, showing the continued interest in the Korean market of Rocher Group," said Ferrero Rocher executive, Luigi Mirri.
This latest endorsement follows several key deals that Lee Min Ho secured, over the past few months. He continues to lead the successful Korean Tourism Organization campaign, which targets international audiences to visit Korea, following a post-MERS slump. The ad campaign racked up more than 22 million YouTube views in less than two months, demonstrating his relevance to global audiences.
The "Gangnam 1970" star was also recently appointed as the honorary ambassador of the 2018 Winter Olympics, which will be held in Pyongyang.
His international impact on the Korean Wave began with his breakout role in the 2009 teen drama, "Boys Over Flowers." In 2013, he continued to reach new audiences with "The Heirs," a U.S. and Korean co-production.
