Yoo Hyun Sang Secret Marriage With Choi Yun Hee
Yoo Hyun Sang shared his love story with his wife, Choi Yun Hee. Choi was a famous swimmer who was well-known for her beauty. The story was announced in "TV with Love" drawing much attention.
On November 8th, the program interviewed Lee Ki Jong, a reporter who helped arrange the marriage between Yoo and Choi.
The two had to marry quietly without the family's blessing on June 6th, 1991. Choi Yun Hee was 25 years old and Yoo was 38 years old. The wedding was held secretly at the Buddhist temple to hide it from Choi's parents who were strongly opposed to their marriage.
It was Lee Ki Jong who helped them get married at that moment. Yoo Hyun Sang recalled, "I worked as a producer for the singer Lee Ji Yeon. I met reporter Lee during that time. I asked for his advice over the phone 5 days before the wedding. He simply asked me if I am confident enough that I can take care and give Choi a happy life. I said yes, and after that, he helped prepare for my wedding."
Lee Ki Jong is a well-known reporter who produced a number of special reports. Lee arranged the wedding including the venue, invitation lists, and others.
Yoo recalled, "My wife left her house saying that she'd go at the academy to study and I also lied to my family. I am terribly sorry that the marriage was not blessed by her family."
