KDrama Actor Kang Eun Tak's Agency Releases Apology on His Mother's Fraud Charges

Actor Kang Eun-tak's mother is being prosecuted for her alleged charges of fraud and violation of the credit financing law and business misconduct. 

On November 9, Dodeum Entertainment, Kang's agency, released a statement, "We apologize for the unpleasant events that have occurred due to Kang Eun-tak's mother. The actor is truly grateful to his fans for showing continued support and love during this difficult time. We apologize for whatever sorrow this incident has caused everyone."

The agency also stressed that Kang had not been involved in the fitness center management at all.

"Whatever the situation is, we standby our moral responsibility as a public figure. We are sorry again for this unfortunate incident."

The actor's mother ran a health club at a hotel but suddenly closed it. The Health Club members did not receive their money back or was given any compensation. More than 200 members sued the actors' mother which called the investigation by the prosecution.

We would like to stress that Kang Eun-taek has never been involved in the management of the fitness center.

In fact, it was reported on KBS2's "Entertainment Weekly" on November 8th that "His mother ran a fitness center, but Kang Eun-tak was not involved in the management or did not know how it was operated." We would like to inform you that the report was true.

Whatever the situation is, we standby our moral responsibility as a public figure. We are sorry again for this unfortunate incident."
