Lee Byung Hun And Ha Jung Woo Talks About Their Real-Life Friendship And New Movie "Ashfall"

There will be an upcoming film starring Lee Byung Hun and Ha Jung Woo. The title of the film is called "Ashfall" also known as "Baekdusan." This action movie features what happens after a volcano on Mount Baekdu erupts making chaos and people are in fear of a final eruption that could destroy both North and South Korea. There will be a team of people in charge to stop the scary disaster from happening.

While on interview after the photoshoot, Ha Jung Woo explained how "Ashfall" is not the same as other films that feature the relationship between the two male leads of the movie. He stated that it is undecided if the two main characters of the movie will have a good or bad relationship, if they will be in good terms later on, or if they'll eventually grow apart. It will be fascinating to see that the relationship of the characters they play changes from time to time depending on the situation.

Jo In Chang to be played by Ha Jung Woo and Ri Jun Pyeong to be played by Lee Byung Hun. Their connection with each other will be tested in a series of the situation either good or bad.

On the other hand, Lee Byung Hun discussed his teamwork with Ha Jung Woo. He said that both of them have been talking about working together for quite some time now. He described his co-actor as a very quick-witted actor. He also added that the total genre of the movies is a disaster film but viewers will also enjoy watching the two characters' fun and enjoyable chemistry.

Lee Byung Hun also added that "Ashfall" revolves around serious matter but it is approachable, friendly and fun to watch.

He also explained the reason why he was attracted to "Ashfall". He said that there is actually a limit to how many times an actor can make brand new and fresh reactions or impressions on the viewers. He stated that how many different genres, roles and types of characters can take on? He also added that he always thinks that he wants to have a new emotional experience when acting in a new movie or new project. That is what "Ashfall" did to him he said. He was able to discover a new kind of emotional feeling in the role of Ri Jun Pyeong in "Ashfall".

Ha Jung Woo also discussed the appearance of their co-star Ma Dong Seok in "Ashfall." He commented, "We have already worked in seven movies together. We actually spent most of our rookie days in the same agency so, in the mid-200s, we always did auditions together. After each audition, we would eat together before going home. Our first drama together was H.I.T and we had lots of great memories. We liked the idea of acting together."

The movie "Ashfall" will be shown in theaters in Korea on December 19th.
