The movie "Beasts Clawing At Straws" directed by Kim Yong-Hoon was invited to the Tiger Competition of the 49th International Film Festival Rotterdam.

"Beasts Clawing At Straws" is a hard-boiled crime drama that shows the story of people who has different desires gather around a money bag with a dream of becoming rich overnight.

It is based on the Japanese novel of the same name "Beasts Clawing At Straws" by SONE Keisuke. The film will have an all-star cast including Jeon Do-yeon, Jung Woo-sung, Bae Sung-woo, Yoon Yuh-jung, and Jung Man-sik, Jin Kyung, Shin Hyun-bin and Jung Ga-ram.

Meanwhile, the International Film Festival Rotterdam is a festival that introduces experimental and alternative films. The film "The Spy Gone North," "The Villainess" and "The Handmaiden" were also invited.

Director Kim Yong-hoon said, "I wanted to show the cross-section of modern society that is becoming more and more desolate. By taking advantage of different characters, I wanted to deliver a single message that is different from each other but intertwined by fate."

"Beasts Clawing At Straws" will be released in February 2020.
