Jeong Ji So Stars In “The Cursed” + Shares Her Reaction On “Parasite” Winning Four Oscars

tvN's new supernatural thriller "The Cursed" star actress Jeong Ji So discussed her new drama plus she shares her reaction to "Parasite" receiving four awards at the 92nd Academy Awards.

In the tvN's thriller drama "The Cursed," Jeong Ji So will play the character of So Jin who is a girl having the ability to curse someone with death by using the characters of their name, a picture and, personal belonging.

So Jin together with Im Jin Hee who is played by Uhm Ji Won a reporter, who has a strong stand and drive for justice, finds a way to fight against an immense evil hidden behind a major IT company.

Jeong Ji So shared that after the broadcasting for the first episode ended, her close friends sent her plenty of messages showing her their support and saying that they were tensed and holding their breath throughout the first episode.

The actress continued to share that the character she is portraying is completely different from any character that she portrayed before. She has received a lot of unexpected love for the role she is playing and she is now more inspired and determined to work even harder.

Giving thanks to her senior actors, Jeong Ji So said that she prepared for a long time and she has a lot of concerns and was nervous before the premiere but seeing it together with her senior actors like Uhm Ji Won and Jo Min Soo, as well as the staff and crew who cheered and kept the atmosphere bright, she just enjoyed it and had a lot of fun.

The shoot and filming of the drama "The Cursed" are already about 90 percent finished and the actress expressed that the actors on set are considered as a family to her. Sharing that co-actors Uhm Ji Won, Sung Dong Il, and Jo Min Soo all made such a comfortable environment that made her very focused on her character since it's different from her character in "Parasite."

The young actress promised to work hard to show viewers many different sides of So Jin. Meanwhile, tvN's thriller drama "The Cursed" shows every Monday and Tuesday at 9:30 PM KST on tVN.

Hyun Seung-min is famously known as Jung Ji-so (screen name) and was born on September 17, 1999. She made her acting debut as a child actress in the 2012 television drama "May Queen."

Jo Yeo Jeong's daughter Park Da Hye in "Parasite" was also portrayed by Jeong Ji So. She was not present at the Academy Awards due to a conflicting schedule for the premiere of her drama series "The Cursed."

She expressed that they cheered each other on and congratulated each other from afar. She just watched the Oscar awards ceremony show live and was so happy with the success of the film that she cried. It also inspired her that she should carry through the remaining filming for "The Cursed" with even more energy.
