Get to Know Yoo Seung-ho from the Mystery-Thriller "Memorist"

tvN's new drama "Memorist" features the dashing actor Yoo Seung-ho, whose role is an investigator who possesses supernatural powers to see more than what meets the eye. 

Yoo Seung Ho started his career at the age of 7 when he was featured on a mobile company commercial. In an interview with Vogue Korea in 2012, he confessed that he came from a poor family. The actor also discontinued his studies to hone his acting skills.

His breakthrough came when he starred in the 2002 movie "Way Back Home." Here, he portrayed the role of a young city boy who was forced to spend his summer vacation in the countryside with his deaf-mute grandmother. His impressive acting skills in this project earned him praises and the title "Nation's Little Brother."

Soon enough, he received many offers on televisions and films, and he has been taking on a variety of characters since then. In fact, to perfect his role as a murderer in "Warrior Baek Dong-soo," he trained martial arts and swordplay.

A few of his notable roles in dramas include Kang Bok Soo in "My Strange Hero" (2018), Kim Min Kyu in "I'm Not a Robot" (2017), and Crown Prince Lee Sun in "The Emperor: Owner of the Mark" (2017).

In his current drama, he is a detective with a special ability to see other people's memories. While his goal is to be able to give a realistic performance in any character given to him, Yoo Seung Ho ensures to act and build his body like the way an investigator should. The actor added that he needed to gain weight for this particular role and that he is aware that his face got plump as well.

"Memorist" is the drama version of the hit webtoon of the same title, created by Jae Hoo. His co-star in the drama, Lee Se-young, plays the role of Han Sun Mi who works as one of the brilliant profilers in the team. The actress' strong and fierce character shows in her still shots. Together, their goal is to find the culprit and murderer in every case they handle.
