Yoo Ah In and Park Shin Hye's Zombie Film "Alive" To Hit Cinemas Next Month
Director Cho Il Hyong brings a remake of Hollywood zombie horror movie to South Korean cinema by June 2020. The movie "Alive" will come to theaters with actor Yoo Ah In. Director Cho traveled and worked in the US for different projects under the American Film Institute.
Film distributor Lotte Entertainment is proud to inform the media and the viewers about the upcoming movie. Although the film's specific date remains kept under wraps, it's an adaptation of a Hollywood screenplay of 2019 "Alone." The movie is by film director Matt Naylor but is not yet released in the US.
The story is about a couple as the only survivors who try to protect each other from the zombies who hunt for human flesh. The zombie virus outbreak kills and infested the land where human lives vanish by it.
In the new teaser released, Joon Woo will be played by actor Yoo Ah In while actress Park Shin Hye will play Yoo Bin. They both stay in an apartment where zombies are waiting at the floor below them. Zombies smell their prey and wanting to reach their area. The lead actors try their luck to reach out to anyone as they search for any internet connection and call out for help.
The poster caption says, "No data, no Wi-Fi, No texting, no calls. Cut off from everything... #ALIVE."
Back in the old days, zombie films are done as B-grade love-budget films. They are out in the theaters just to provide time for viewers to enjoy the low graded movies. Things had shifted in South Korea when "Train to Busan" appeared that change the history of any horror films. The zombie horror film, directed by Yeon Sang Ho, gained famous feedback and supporters from abroad. Since then, more zombie genre films have been released to the viewers.
Yoo Ah In is a well-known Korean film star, and Park Shin Hye has been one of the most bankable actresses to grace many drama series. In this movie together, many of their fans can't wait to see both on screen.
