Park Ha Sun to Possibly Star alongside Namgoong Min in MBC's New Drama 'Black Sun'
Dong Yi actress Park Ha Sun is currently in talks to star alongside actor Namgoong Min in MBC's upcoming drama "Black Sun".
According to an industry representative, Park Ha Sun was offered to star as the female lead in MBC's new drama "Black Sun". On February 2, the actress' agency KeyEast confirmed the news stating that Park Ha Sun was indeed offered to star in "Black Sun" and she is currently reviewing the casting offer.
MBC's "Black Sun" is currently a hot topic due to its over-the-top production budget which is reported to be 15 billion won (approximately $13.7 million). The drama is described as a Korean spy-themed thriller that will tell the story of an elite National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent and his journey to take down the internal traitor who conspired against him which caused his downfall.
Namgoong Min is confirmed to star as the male lead character in the drama
It was previously reported that Namgoong Min is confirmed to star in the role of Han Ji Hyuk, the elite National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent. He has been receiving positive feedback from his colleagues for his unparalleled skills and flawlessly completing all his missions. However, he suddenly vanished off the face of the earth after allegedly putting the organization into a crisis. After one year he comes back to take his revenge and plans to take down the person who caused his life to shatter.

If Park Ha Sun accepts the drama's casting offer, she will take on the role of Seo Soo Yeon. She is the leader of team 4 of the Crime Information Center. Seo Soo Yeon is great at her job and excellent at solving cases. She is very affectionate and deeply cares for her co-workers.

South Korean actress Park Ha-sun was born on October 22, 1987. The 33-year-old actress started her career in the entertainment industry way back in 2005 through the TV series Love Needs a Miracle. Following this, her fame skyrocketed for portraying the character of Inhyeon in MBC's 2010 historical drama Dong Yi. Then she starred in the sitcom High Kick: Revenge of the Short Legged that aired in 2011-2012 as a teacher. She has since appeared in the films The Last Blossom (2011), Champ (2011), and Tone-deaf Clinic (2012).

Fast forward to the year 2020, Park Ha Sun inspired and made the viewers laugh with her one of a kind character as the "queen bee" mother at a postpartum care center in "Birthcare Center".

The drama will be helmed by Director Kim Sung Yong and penned by writer Park Seok Ho. The drama is scheduled to premiere in the second half of 2021.
