‘The Penthouse' Actors Confirm Appearance in 'Running Man'
"The Penthouse" cast members Yoon Jong Hoon, Park Eun Seok, and Ha Dok Won are confirmed to appear in "Running Man" as special guests!
On Feb. 5, reports stated that three actors from the megahit show "The Penthouse," Yoon Jong Hoon, Park Eun Seok, and Ha Dok Won, will be participating in the famous variety show "Running Man" as special guests in an episode. The trio will appear in the show as a promotion for the drama's second season.
The episode that the three actors will appear in is set to broadcast on Feb. 14 at 5:00 p.m. KST on the SBS network.
Variety show "Running Man": How the Show Evolved
The South Korean variety show "Running Man" was formerly part of SBS's Good Sunday lineup. The show was first aired on July 11, 2010. It was originally classified as an "urban action variety," or a genre of variety shows set in an urban environment.
During its run, some of the guests were occasionally featured or invited to the show. The show's hosts as well as their guests are required to complete missions at a landmark to win the race.
Through the years, it has transitioned into a more familiar reality-variety show concept focused on games.
"Running Man" is famous in other parts of Asia and has garnered online fame most especially among the Hallyu fans overseas. The show was then fansubbed into various languages, such as English, Persian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Malay, Indonesian, Burmese, Arabic, Russian, and Turkish.
This is not the first time that Ha Dok Won appeared on the show. However, Yoon Jong Hoon and Park Eun Seok will make their first appearance as guests on "Running Man."

Moving forward, "The Penthouse" is a drama that features the story of success, betrayal, and revenge. The drama revolves around the rich and famous residents of the high-end building called Hera Palace. The people who live in the building all have dark secrets and dirty pasts.
The show stars Lee Ji Ah playing Su Ryeon, who is known as "the queen" of the penthouse, Kim So Yeon as heartless opera singer Seo Jin, and Eugene as the poor woman who will do whatever it takes to enter and be accepted by the high-class society.

In the drama, Yoon Jong Hoon stars as Ha Yoon Cheol the husband of Cheon Seo Jin. He is an ambitious man who strongly believes that a person needs to have hold wealth and power to control everything. He is the head surgeon in the VIP department of a hospital.
Park Eun Seok, on the other hand, stars as Gu Ho Dong/Logan Lee, a nice PE teacher at Cheong-ah Arts School, who fights for justice, and Anna's older adoptive brother.
Ha Do Kwon portrays the character of Ma Du Ki, music teacher at Cheong-ah Arts School.
The second season of "The Penthouse" will air on Feb. 19. So, be sure not to miss it!
